Mr. Lum has been with the Coppell Color Guard since 2018. During his time here, the color guard has made finals at numerous WGI regional events in Texas and Oklahoma. In 2021, the varsity and junior varsity color guards made WGI World Championship Virtual Finals. 

 

Mr. Lum also has an extensive performance career. He marched in the color guard for the DCI-finalist Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps from 2017-2018. Mr. Lum also performed with various CGT ensembles from 2017-2020. His achievements with those groups include making A class finals with CGT Fort Worth and World class finals with CGT Dallas at WGI World Championships, as well as receiving the WGI Fan Favorite Award in 2018. He also served as a captain for CGT Denton in 2020.

 

When not at CHS, Mr. Lum is also with other independent programs across the country. In 2021 he joined the guard staff for the Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps and now serves as the Colorguard Caption Manager.
