Veena Bhat is first and foremost a Band Mom and considers the Coppell Band and Coppell High School her second family. She is the proud mother of Coppell High School’s 2018-19 Drum Major and Bassoonist, Mallika Chadaga and the 2 time All-State Oboist and English Horn player, Mihir Chadaga. A graduate with a Master’s Degree in Advertising from the University of Illinois at Urbana/Champaign, Veena fulfills her musical and theatrical aspirations singing and dancing to songs in her car, much to her kids dismay.

 

A die-hard fan of the Queen, The Beatles, Dire Straits and other long standing rock bands, Veena derives her music tastes from her British influence of living in India and the Middle East. Starting her 8th year at Coppell High School, Veena is happy and grateful to be part of an organization that has provided many opportunities of joy and growth to so many students, including her own.
